Carrie Culbertson

APRN, FNP-C, CNM
Carrie Culbertson is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Family Nurse Practitioner. She started nursing at the age of 18 and began exploring the different nursing specialties. While working as an LVN, she received the opportunity to take care of babies in the newborn nursery. She quickly decided to return to obtain her RN in order to further her skills. After becoming a registered nurse, she was able to transfer into the role of labor & delivery nurse and she has been taking care of women ever since.

Carrie’s main objective is to serve women by providing consistent, compassionate, evidence-based care while encouraging and supporting her desires during each phase of her life. She is excited to experience out of hospital births with families and is honored to be part of the midwifery community.

Carrie has over 20 years of experience in labor & delivery, as well as experience in lactation, newborn and postpartum care. She also has been part of the leadership team, working as a nurse manager. Carrie’s life work has been dedicated to patient advocacy, leading her to return to school to further her ability to advocate for women. She received her MSN in the Family Nurse Practioner Program at University of Texas at Arlington. Shortly thereafter, she attended Texas Tech University in order to follow her dream of becoming a nurse midwife.

Carrie has a supportive husband and 4 children, all of which inspired her to pursue her passion to care for women and families. She spends her free time with her family, 2 dogs, traveling, and riding mountain bikes.
